Scottish Cheese

Scotland has long been famous for high quality cheeses. Foodieboxes is delighted to announce we can now send
Scottish Cheeses in our Foodieboxes
Food Hampers UK wide. Scotland has a huge range of cheese, form hard to soft and goat to ewe. Our Foodies have spent the last few weeks talking to suppliers and tasting cheeses, someone has too! We have tasted in excess of 50 cheeses and now bring what we believe to be the very best Scotland has to offer.
Scotland traditionally excelled in hard cheeses due to a short production season in the summer and a long maturing period in the winter. As we all know Scotland has a much longer winter than it does summer!
Cheese making techniques and equipment have come on a long way over the last decade and Scotland now compete in other cheese classes at world level. Connage Highland Dairy one of our suppliers was awarded GOLD for their Crowdie at the World Cheese awards in 2007. Well done!
We have created some excellent
Scottish cheese selections which include a fantastic slate cheese board from the Just Slate Co. These selections are made up of mixed cheese boards for
4-6 people to
12-15 and come with oatcakes and chutney. We have also created cheese specific boards for blue cheese and cheddar allowing you to taste and compare a range of the same variety. Due to the popularity of the build your own Foodiebox we have a similar function to
build your own Cheese Board and of course we will be creating a range of Foodieboxes mixed with a selection of our other products.
